26th June 2024 – EuComMeet Conference at the European Committee of the Regions
The Final Conference “Just transition and Participatory Democracy” aimed to present the outcomes of the H2020 EuComMeet project, to share lessons learned and to illustrate the main features of the Deliberative Spaces Platform to the wider audience.
The event gathered approximately 80 participants including representatives of the European institutions, academics, local and regional representatives and experts in participatory democracy.

25th June 2024 – Last EuComMeet General Assembly in Brussels
On 25th June 2024 the EuComMeet consortium gathered in Brussels for the last General Assembly of the project, held at the Regione Toscana Brussels Liaison Office and hosted by the Partner Tuscan Organisation of Universities and Research for Europe (TOUR4EU).
January 2023 – Training Course “Modern Communication in Science Today”
On January 2023, TOUR4EU (WP9 leader) organised a communication course with the support of European People Association targeted at members of the academic and scientific community working in the field of the SSH. The course provided useful communication knowledge through four dedicated online sessions.

6th and 7th April 2022 – First EuComMeet General Assembly in presence
Hosted by the University of Siena at Santa Chiara Lab, the General Assembly has been a great opportunity for more than 30 participants representing all partners from Italy, Spain, France, Finland, Ireland, Poland, Germany and Belgium, to meet in person for the first time after the COVID-19 pandemic period.
28th October 2021: Cities engagement event in collaboration with Smart Cities Marketplace
On 28th October 2021, the Action Cluster Integrated Planning Policy and Regulation and the Cluster Citizens focus of the Smart Cities Marketplace (Democratic Innovations Initiative) held a virtual workshop to support the EuComMeet project’s consortium in selecting the 10 pilot cities that will be hosting an online, multilingual deliberative and participatory process, experimenting innovative typologies of moderation.
18th-23th March 2021: EuComMeet Kickoff Meeting online
The project kicked-off in a virtual four-days meeting from the 18th to the 23rd of March 2021, covering a rich agenda to start things off on the right foot.
More than 22 participants representing all partners attended the meetings. Intense working days, therefore, to discuss on the respective objectives and instruments, addressing the theoretical framework, as well as the technical issues related to language translation, automated moderation and the innovative ICT tools that will be embedded in cutting-edge (pandemic-proof) participatory spaces to bring deliberative processes to the next level.
