NetHood is a non-profit organization based in Zurich, Switzerland, founded in 2015. It combines research and action in the design and development of physical and digital platforms, self-organization tools, participatory methodologies, knowledge exchange processes, and dissemination strategies around different topics of people’s engagement at the neighborhood level.

The L200 community space in the center of Zurich and the Convivium online deliberation platform are two characteristic examples of tangible outputs of high impact in which NetHood is playing a leading role. NetHood members are or have been affiliated with top academic institutions (ETH Zurich, University of Southern California, Paris Sorbonne, ZHAW, University of Stuttgart, AUEB, UAUIM etc) covering a wide area of academic disciplines like urban planning, computer science, architecture, engineering, economics, management and organizational behaviour.

At the same time they are engaged in civil society with active roles in associations like INURA, Stadt Zurich ABR, Neustart Schweiz, Internet Society Switzerland Chapter, Flexibles, CIRCE, and more. NetHood has also strong facilitation, communication and dissemination, and transdisciplinary competences, manifesting through key roles in big EU-funded projects such as technical leader (EuComMeet), interdisciplinary framework leader (MAZI, COMPARE), and dissemination leader (SINCERE, netCommons).
